Spiritual Foundations

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11

Is God really on your side? How can you know for sure?

Feature Segment: How to Have a Spiritual Business

Peter Drucker shared a story of three stonecutters who were asked what they were doing. The first said, ‘I am making a living.’ The second kept on working while he said, ‘I am doing the best job of stonecutting in the entire country.’ The third one looked up with a visionary gleam in his eyes and said, ‘I am building a cathedral.’ These workers were building the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. That third man had found the secret of spiritual business.

The difference between the first and third men is vast. The third is fulfilled, fueled by passion and meaning. Yet they have the same job.

How can you have the same experience, no matter what your job might be?

  • I think one of the most important things for believers is knowing WHY we believe what we believe. And you’re right, it’s never more evident than when we’re faced with a challenging time or temptation. Thanks for this great podcast – will share!

    • Thank you Justin. It may be best summed up in the old saying, “dig your well before you’re thirsty.”
