#173: 5 Destructive Lies You Tell Yourself

173What is a lie exactly? I have written elsewhere that “Lies… are simply falsehoods perpetrated upon us for the purpose of robbing us of something.” Yet we lie to ourselves every day. Why would we do that? And of what are we robbing ourselves?

Ray – What a great post! I’ve been listening to your podcast for a couple months now, and have delved into the archives as well. I love your Spiritual Foundations and the way you apply a Christian worldview to running a business. I listened to this post on my 10,000 step walk this morning, and then when my wife got up we listened to it together. At this point in my life, this teaching really spoke to me. Especially the point you made with each of the 5 destructive lies: that I GET TO DECIDE. Great application! Thank you!

    • Thank you Jack, so much, for sharing this. A message like this is what keeps me going,

  • I always love how you push the edge @Ray_Edwards:disqus. Thanks for the value you create.

I’ve completely bought into the ‘woman lie’ and not so much as it comes to payment but to worth. It’s a sneaky lie but I refute it by continuing to look back on what the Lord has said, done and is continuing to do in my life and business.

Thanks for a great podcast. Just discovered you after listening to Amy Porterfield. Then discovered you’re in a mastermind with Leslie Samuel, my business coach. Great podcast, wise words, appreciate the reminder.

  • I love the co-host!! I’ve loved your work for so long but didn’t even know you had a podcast till you were on the Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur. Great stuff. That’s so funny that you’re in my hometown of Spokane. Hope you get to The Healing Rooms sometimes. You’ll love their events & they’ll join with you for your miracles any time you show up for prayer. I’ll be there for a few weeks in August.

    • Hey Gina – thanks! We’re very familiar with the Healing Rooms – that is so cool that you’ll be coming here for that.

John Gray was on the Psychology of Eating recently. He too was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and seems to have found the way to correct it, Ray. When given what it needs, the body can correct.
I’m pleased that I “met” you through Amy. I’m enjoying your insights on my favorite topic. Thank you. Rieke

    • Thanks Reike – I’ll look into John’s work, I appreciate you.
