  1. Wow – so much to unpack in this lesson that I’ll need to listen again. Many takeaways here but among my favorite is Muggles vs. Wizards. Even non-fans of Harry Potter can agree there is something truly magical about entrepreneurs and how they are essentially able to create something out of (almost) nothing. Products & services that don’t exist one day, and then the next day they appear and people rush to give away hard-earned money to obtain them.

So often entrepreneurs seek advice from Muggles (friends, family, colleagues) when they should be keeping company with other wizards. And be careful of those who pretend to be wizards but who have never walked the miles to become one. Taking advice from a 60-yr old muggle who appears wise is no more useful than advice from a 10-yr old muggle, but far more dangerous!

  2. Muggles and wizards!! Brilliant!! So true! And btw, I’m as Christian as they come. HARRY POTTER BOOKS ARE AMAZING!! There’s hardly a more poignant parallel to the Jesus story in any kind of literature.

  3. Here’s another scriptural reference for the importance of offering value to our customers. Luke 6:48 – “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

  4. Ray, Subscribed to your podcast a few weeks ago after hearing Cliff Ravenscraft talk about you. I thought you were partnering with your son, so it was good to hear that is the case in this episode! My 13-year old son & I started doing YouTube videos about a year ago. We created our brand – The Two Cj’s. We have tons of fun doing what we do…..together!!! We are getting ready to roll out a podcast together where I will answer questions from him about my life, my dreams, etc. We are going to get other dads and their kids involved, as well, at least, my brothers and their kids, and my own dad, who is thankfully still with us. I think so many people go through life, and then realize when it’s too late that they really didn’t know their parent(s). We have our domain secured, and logo designed. We are looking forward to rolling this out in the next 30 days. Our current website where we put our videos, vlogs, and my podcast “All About My Catholic Faith” is http://www.twocjs.com

Ray, thanks for the show and for the example you set!
