  • Hi Ray! I totally agree that with your 3 points. If you can’t portray confidence, then how will people believe you can and will help them. It’s important that you are clear on what you do and how you can help them. As for caring, if you don’t care and demonstrate it to them then people won’t be attracted to you.

As always Ray, great insight and information. I love how you have integrated your faith in God with what you do. Thanks for leading the charge.

Clarity and Caring I understand and agree with wholeheartedly. Confident – this one needs to be accompanied with a wise warning. I have found that when a person is confident (not arrogant but truly secure and happy and generous), he/she can be accused of being cocky especially by insecure people. These people are usually quick to criticize because they are “offended” by the confidence of another and come against it, especially if that person defies their idea of a stereotype. I believe Jesus has taught me that CALM (quiet strength, meekness, stability, resoluteness) is a good “attractor”. They may still be offended by you because you won’t bow down to their insecurity but they may respect you.

  • Great video Ray – I’ve been using the first 2 C’s – we sometimes forget about the last. It helps to follow up with your customers – not only the ones you are trying to capture but also your existing customers.

This makes total sense. Confidence usually tells people they can trust and will be taken care of. AND graciously accepting compliments. Someone can be appear confident and then when complimented, totally mess that up by saying, “Oh, it could have been better” or “Oh, but I forgot to say this or that.” That brings down their guard. It has taken me a while to learn to just say, “Thanks so much, I appreciate that.”

Confidence, Clarity and Caring are a great place to start. As you said, you have to practice some aspects until you grow your confidence and abilities. Knowing your message is vitally important too or you will confuse your tribe. I believe that sharing stories is a great way to help people understand who you are.

    Thanks for this video!

    Good Morning, Ray,
I like “practice it until you perfect it.”
“Fake it till you make it,” Has been my go-to example for years. The change in words gives the desired outcome a clearer focus. Thank you, for your time. I appreciate you.
    Abundantly Blessed…tlb

  • Great message, Ray. Something a voice teacher told me years ago was “practice makes permanent, so practice the right things.”

The Three C’s are definitely “the right things” we should strive to make permanent. Thanks for sharing!

  • Fredrick W. Lee

Great and simple points that does not require a lot of money or resources. Thanks.

  • I always enjoy your videos Ray but this one is my all-time favorite (so far, at least). I will use it occasionally as a pick-me-up!

  • This is absolute timely instructio. We can have an awesome Brand with a potential for global reach. Yet, if we are not Confident, Clear & Caring we miss the mark.

  • Wow Ray,
As usual you have excellent advice thank you for sharing!

  • Ray,
This comes as a good reminder since I’m getting ready to record a series of videos that will lead to the copy that you’ve helped me write over the last few months. Thank you for your continued help as you confidently charge forward to make copywriting clear for people like me, who you care so much about (did you see what I just did there? haha).

Great advice, true and backed up by the highest standard on earth ; God. If you are confident is because you have faith in what you do and therefore you can move mountains. You also can be attractive being clear, meaning you deliver a true message, or sell something with the greatest quality you can provide and you market your product or service on that quality. God doesn’t like fake measurements or weights or products and services. And when you can show your prospects all the reasons why they are better with your product or service then is when you distill care through your pores. And you will be attractive. And yes you and everything you do will be bless. Jesus was extremely attractive. History confirms that fact.

This is the first time I have listened to you, impressive!
