Communication Is Not Clear

You think you’re getting your point across – but are you?

One of the most valuable lessons I ever learned about communication is this: the communication is not what you mean to say, it’s what the other person hears.

If your communications are not getting you the results you want, it might be time to ask: “What do you think I’m trying to say?”

  1. Great little insight here. Communication really is a two way street. You can say whatever you want, but if it is not said clearly or in a way that is comprehended, you gain nothing.

  2. Hey Ray,

I agree with this. A lot of miscommunication happens when someone feels that when they something, the other person should understand it out of principle, without the speaker needing to adjust his message.

On a less related note, I saw John Anghelache mentioned in an earlier blog post. Do you recommend his “Copywriting Crash Course” on swiping? What other swiping courses do you recommend (if any?) I really dig your recommendations. Thanks.
