The money is in the list but you need to be prepared for business. This is what takes the time to get going. The answer for me which I am still working on is to...

1. Domain Name
2. Hostig Acc
3. Autoresponder
4. Connect Domain Name to Hosting Acc
5. Create Squeeze page
6. Connect Autoresponder to Squeeze page
7. Fill Autoresponder with messages/ebook/advert
8. Market website ie PPC, Blog, Forum, Article etc

It has taken me years to learn and implement this and I have only just got of the starting line. I have a great Domaon Name www.simplelistbuilding.com but still need to be learn to build that list. Persistance will get me there...

Consider this. It is my wish, to try and explain that list building is important part of internet Marketing. As a matter of fact, the first thing you should learn to do.

Marketers tell you the “money is in the list”. But, let’s look at the workings a little. If you have a web site, and you performed many tasks each month to make a sale, you might as well be working. What I mean is Social Booking etc.

When you have a list of subscribers you can perform one task, and make money. (Write an e-mail)

The problem I see with most marketers they do the same thing over and over each month. Personally I started with PPC. I read Perry Marshall’s e-book. Set up an account with Enhance, and fell flat on my face, lost money didn’t make one sale, but I learn a lot. So, prepare yourself to loose money if you go this way.

Enhance help with my Keyword list, and Boom my list started to build.

One of the biggest stumbling block hurdles to starting a list is not understanding the actual mechanics of managing a list.

When first starting out, most people are understandably reluctant to commit to a monthly expense like aweber.

Even if they do figure out how to install a perl/cgi script on their squeeze page to collect names they can't visualize what to do with the with them next.

Manually maintaining a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file can take tons of time.

One free option just to help someone get started is to start a Yahoo Group for your particular niche. People will have to submit their info to join and you can easily broadcast a message to your group (list).

Once you build an income stream to cover hosting and auto responder service then migrate your group away from Yahoo's control.

Not everyone will follow you when you migrate and you'll take a hit on the size of your list.

In the long run you'll be OK.
In the short run you'll have gotten your list started.

Hey Ray,

Just pop by your site.

I've done the first and last one before but always find it hard to do the second one.

To be honest, I only have have x,xxx names in my list so not everyone would like to swap with me.

So far my squeeze page at http://www.kidbloggermasterplan.com/leaked/ is working perfectly fine with 30-40% conversion rate.

It did took me sometime to make my squeeze page foolproof so anyone can understand what I'm talking about and why they should put their email.
