Stripped Of Everything, Starting Over

By Ray Edwards | June 21, 2007

busted.jpgShort notice, I know, but… you need to be on a call today with Clayton Makepeace.

Here’s the story…

Daniel Levis asked me if he could interview me.

The subject: going from rags to riches. Starting over from zero, assuming I had been stripped of everything (name, money, products, clients).

I figured I could do this easily…

Many people don’t know this, but I came from humble beginnings.

Grew up in Kentucky coal mining country.

Was on my own at age 17.

Living in a tiny, roach-infested apartment.

Driving a lime-green 1977 Chevy Chevette.

From that ignoble start, I rose to success in radio and then as a copywriter for marketing giants like Mark Victor Hansen, Jack Canfield, Alex Mandossian, Frank Kern, and many others.

Daniel’s killer twist…

He said he wanted me to pretend I was starting over, with nothing… and lay out a plan for how to build it all over again.

From scratch.

With some very interesting restrictions (which I will go into later).

I thought it would be no problem.

Easy.

But little did I know…

I’m competing with Clayton Makepeace.

Clayton is the first teacher in this series.

Then comes Michel Fortin.

Perry Marshall.

And the list goes one from there.

So, it means I need to be more on MY game when I get around to doing my call with Daniel.

The good news for YOU is these free calls are yours to claim.

And the content will be top-notch.

There is no "trick" — these calls are yours free.

The premise that each of us (Clayton, Michel, Perry, me, and the others) are starting with…

The IRS has just frozen my assets…

My customer and prospect databases have been erased…

My products destroyed…

And the entire world has forgotten my name.

That’s the mock financial we have to "MacGuyver" our way out of in a one-of-a-kind teleseminar workshop.

We get a thousand bucks and living expenses for just one month, and that’s it!

Unless we can jury rig my way out before the money runs out, we’re toast.

Today is the beginning of the series, and we start with Clayton. I know *I* will be listening — and so should you!

It’s totally free to attend, and you’ll learn all kinds of unorthodox ways to generate cash and grow your business using other people’s money… other people’s lists… and other people’s credibility — while adding value for all involved!

The extreme constraints each of us will be under to meet this challenge will have us talking about income producing strategies we’ve never before revealed in public.

If you’re looking for quick and dirty profit tactics you can float on a shoestring budget, you do NOT want to miss this event.

And I hope I’ve made it clear by now…

In addition to myself, there will be 8 other amazing panelists — some of the most brilliant marketing minds on the planet.

These are definitely not the pretend kind of experts who learned "entrepreneurship" at a community college somewhere… and who’d pack up their bags and go crying home to Mommy if they ever had to face the real world challenges you do.

Each of the teachers on these calls has kicked and clawed and scratched their way up from nothing… conquering lack and scarcity against all odds… and now stands victorious on top of mountains of cash and prosperity.

The incredible stories of their remarkable assent from rags to riches will astound and inspire you… and give you massive confidence in yourself and the proven strategies we reveal on these calls.

All of us will be spilling the beans on our most closely guarded, high leverage secrets for generating a living starting with no list… no products… no notoriety… and just a little money.

You’re spot on, Ray. I listened to the call Thursday and the information was invaluable enough to make me want to listen to everyone else Daniel’s lined up for the next two months. The neat thing about the calls is they’re a beginner’s mini-course, kind of a feet-wetter. Looking forward to listening to what you have to say.

I know how it feels to be stripped of everything and having to start over again - if you can get up the courage again.

You know what would be better than these hypothetical “what would you do” scenarios? Actually doing what you say you would do, and let folks follow along and see the progress live.

I have gotten a couple of emails with this same idea (”Actually doing what you say you would do, and let folks follow along and see the progress live.”).

I’ve already “actually done it”.

And I did it most publicly. Most of “it” happened on this blog and at seminars and via my email newsletter.

The interviews are free. Listen to them, and you’ll see that this is the point of the whole thing. People who have “Actually done it” explaining HOW THEY DID IT… and then giving you the benefit of their experience. Lessons learned. Things they would do differently.

I hope it’s helpful to you in your own journey.

Hi Ray….

I would love to hear the call. Are you going to make it available for download if we miss the live call.

Yup Ray!!!

These calls are going to be VERY COOL!

I even blogged about Clayton’s call from Thursday on my blog — http://www.jpmaroney.net

I’m in the HotSeat with Daniel this Thursday. I’ll be telling stories and sharing some strategies I have NEVER shared before in public.

And even though I’ve know you a while, I can’t wait to hear your call.

Frank Kern saw this post and sent an email about it to his list.

At first I thought my web stats were messed up.

I mean, I’m good… but the numbers were WAY higher than I thought the should be.

So now I owe Kern a barley-pop or two….

Hey Ray, when you’re good you’re hot, thanx there’s nothing like opening those damn shutters and finally seeing the sunshine.

Does that make me “a Ray of sunshine”?

Back against the wall marketing is a powerful motivator.
