Three Ways To Improve Opt-in Page Conversion

By Ray Edwards | August 29, 2007

shoppingcart.jpgThe Story: Thanks to spam, fear, and paranoia, it’s now harder than ever to get an opt-in.

The Point: There are proven methods for increasing your opt-in conversions; all it takes is a small amount of work.

The Resource: www.WebCopyWritingExplained.com <– Copywriting Videos

Here are three tactics you can use to get more opt-ins:

  1. Make a stronger offer.
  2. Use a bigger, “responsive” HTML button
  3. Keep all distractions off your opt-in page.

Hey Ray - wow, love the new feature - it’s short, to the point and offers a specific action that someone can do to improve some facet of their marketing or sales process! Great idea, and it’s a wonderful marketing approach for your business too…wish I’d thought of it first!

Thanks Cheryl, I appreciate the comments. I love the fact that you spontaneously explained all my intent when I created the podcast: “…short, to the point and offers a specific action that someone can do to improve some facet of their marketing or sales process!”

I’m still undecided about whether I will make it FIVE days a week (Monday - Friday) or SEVEN. We’ll see.

Hi Ray,

Good points one and all.

It really helps to be reminded why basic selling tenants…USP, Credibility, Powerful Offers…must apply everywhere, and especially with opt-ins.

Hi Ray,

I agree with Cheryl, I like the fact that your posts are short and to the point. I’m more inclined to come back more often as your postings don’t take up too much time, yet they are still very informative.

Thanks,
Miah

You folks have made my day — thanks! And keep the feedback coming, especially on things you’d like to hear me cover or questions I can answer.

Harder opt-ins makes it even more important to develop relationships with potential jv partners.
