More discretionary time to be creative, to give to others of our choosing, to interact with loved ones without even a fraction of consciousness held hostage by the tyranny of onerous work. For too many years I believed it was a character defect not to apply myself assiduously to every task. I was wrong. It got me making a similar list. I have already given away a copy (mine) to a friend... and sold a couple dozen people on getting this book. After I gave mine away, I discovered local bookstores were out of their copies! I tracked one down by phone and drove a half hour to get it. Whew! ;-) Great list, Gavin.
