What Is It Going To Take?

What is it going to take for you to finally do it?

To finally achieve your dreams?

What will it take to get you off your… um… couch… and into action?

Look. June 1 is rolling directly at you like a locomotive. The second half of 2013 is unstoppable.

Many of us set ambitious goals for the New Year. Inspiring plans. Rockin’ resolutions. And almost 100% of them were broken and abandoned by January 15th.

It happens every year. So ask yourself…

“WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO CHANGE THAT?”

What will it take to make this the year you actually ACHIEVE the goals you set back in January? What will it take for 2013 to be the year you:

  • Get your online business going and making money.
  • Grow your list (or start one!).
  • Get clear on your spiritual values.
  • Get out of debt.
  • Overcome the technical challenges that hold you back.
  • Get your body in shape.
  • Get your website built and working right.
  • Break free from overwhelm and confusion to JUST GET STARTED.
  • Find the time to work on your Internet business.
  • Figure out WHO to listen to or follow, so you can QUIT chasing after the “latest and loudest”.
  • Or whatever was on your list.

You set those goals. They were important to you.

Question: what are you going to do about it? What is it going to take?

  1. I just read your latest email … WHY are you apologizing for your convictions and telling people that they might not like what you have to say? Stand by your convictions, dude … I’ve read where you’ve been, some of the high power guru types you have worked with, And??? We HAVE to stop apologizing for Truth!

  2. I just read your latest email … WHY are you apologizing for your convictions and telling people that they might not like what you have to say? Stand by your convictions, dude … I’ve read where you’ve been, some of the high power guru types you have worked with, And??? We HAVE to stop apologizing for Truth! It weakens our message which is powerful. Our message is powerful, and we have nothing to apologize for! I understand the urge to downplay … believe me!!! But we are living FROM heaven TO earth … Can you feel how big that is??

    • @DeborahPenner I do indeed feel how big it is — and I wasn’t apologizing! Thank you for the feedback. As you will see in the coming days and weeks I have no intention of downplaying the spiritual foundations of business… and I certainly am not downplaying my relationship with Jesus Christ!

  3. For me, it takes FOCUS. I’m focusing on just a few key things in my life, rather than circulating among lots of different activities without ever completing anything.

One of my key areas of focus right now is my health. Instead of letting my job or other “things” distract me from my health goals, I am now making my health a priority every day. I have a plan in place to achieve fitness and it is working – one day at a time!

There are so many “shiny objects”, I must focus on just a few until those are complete – then I can move to another project/opportunity.

  4. I have so far gotten the biggest goal I had for the year already done! I wanted a brand new website after 9 years and I got it finally. So after it got put in place I am working on the rest of the goals I have for it, around it etc.

Also I agree with the first person who added a comment @DeborahPenner
You are who you are, and if you are a God fearing man and that is a part of who you are? Then talk about it. Don’t chance because you feel you might hurt someone’s feelings. The whole world seems to be trying to take God out of everything as it is. Don’t you do it too!

I have been a reader of your newsletter for years. 🙂

  5. Setting realistic goals is so critical for everyone and especially if a person has a full time career and wants to start an internet biz.
Recently I went through a 6 month training program that started October 2012. The training was how to start and build a virtual assistant business. Going all out I made great progress and studied every night. I learned social media, content management, email marketing, some copywriting, built my own wordpress website, etc.
All was going great and everything I achieved during the training is still fully operational (website, social media…) but I had to really pull back on my efforts and find a good life balance which included maintaining my focus on my professional career.
Moving forward I now know what it takes and plan and continue at a realistic pace.
    Thanks for the post!
