This week I was faced with one of the hardest realizations that I’ve had in a long time. The part of the whole situation that put it all in perspective was one sentence, and that is how powerful words can be.
Words can be like a switch…the lights are going to be off if you’re using the wrong words and perspective, but the second you change your words, the lights turn on, and that’s how you get rich.
In this week’s episode of The Ray Edwards Show, I’m going to delve deeper into how something as simple as a few words strung together can change your life and make you rich beyond imagination.

- ([1:00]) How just one question can change the entire outcome of a situation. You should never settle on an outcome that doesn’t fit you or your company in the best way possible. Sometimes all you need to do is ask yourself a question on how you change your perspective or how adjusting the words you're using can turn the tables on what you thought was going to happen.
- ([7:50]) How words can change your world in an instant. Something as short as a sentence can be as powerful as a kick to the stomach. Maybe you’ve found out that you or a loved one has cancer or another life-threatening disease or you suddenly and unexpectedly lost somebody. Think about the words that were said to you. Think about what you said. Those words are probably ones you won’t forget, because maybe you were confronted by the fact that your priorities hadn’t been where they should have been or you were reminded of the fact that tomorrow is not guaranteed. That can change the way you live the rest of that day and the rest of your life.
- ([15:51]) Why your brain might need a hard reset and reprogramming. Our thoughts aren’t always intentional, and we do face habitual thoughts that may be holding us back from seeing the bigger picture. So to combat our thinking habits, we have to practice flipping the coin or considering the opposite of what we were thinking. Thinking negatively helps nobody…especially not yourself…which is why we need to practice getting those thoughts out and replacing them with positivity and constructive thinking.
