#026: How To Make More, Give More, And Live More [Podcast]

The key to having all the joy and fulfillment you want from your business and your life is: being clear on your core values. Paul Evans is clear, and in this episode he shares his philosophy on how to make more, give more, and live more. In that order.

Spiritual Foundations

The way to get the free from stress is to work… but work at what?

Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience ..
Hebrews 4:11 (Amplified Bible)

Feature Story: How To Make More, Give More, And Live More

This week I bring you an amazing interview with Paul Evans. In this interview, you'll discover:
  • How to “live your mission”.
  • Paul's unique philosophy of how to make more… so you can give more… and live more.
  • The jaw-dropping story of how Paul's wife died in his arms…and the amazing nature of what happened next.
  • How you can be at least three times as productive using Paul's startlingly simple system.

The audio on Paul's voice is a little…unusual. Just get past that and listen to what he is saying. You'll be glad you did.

    •  @designgururyan Ryan, you are right on. This is one of those interviews that personally challenged me to raise the bar on my own game. Paul is a phenomena. Thanks for stopping by.

  • This is brilliant Ray, I’ve learnt so much from Paul and I’m ready to take my productivity to new levels as a result. The beauty is in the simplicity – work at the times you’re most productive, only buy books that relate to whatever mode you’re in at that time….and of course the whole making more to give more is just phenomenal. Thank you both – I’ve only just discovered your podcast from Michael Hyatt’s recommendation and I’m definitely subscribing for updates.

    •  @MildredTalabi Mildred, thank you so much for giving us a try. I’m very grateful that you receive some value from the interview with Paul. It’s truly one of my favorite interviews. Thanks for visiting, and for subscribing! I look forward to getting to know you a little better.

  • I can’t express how much I have already benefited from this episode – and plan on listening to it multiple times to gain even more! One question I’d have for both you and Paul is this… I believe in planning, prioritizing, and all of that – but I also believe that we should take “one day at a time” in an attitude of dependence and trust in God. So… the question: How do you two go about keeping that balance, where you are not running ahead of the LORD in a direction He never intended you to go? I have my own ways, but I’d love to learn from you two! Thanks gain Ray!

    • @Carey Green That is a great question, Gary. For me, I rely on the scripture in James where he admonishes us not to be proud and say that we will go to a certain city, work for season, and make a profit. We should, rather, say “the Lord willing, I will do this or that.” I’m always up for being interrupted by the Holy Spirit. His plans work out better than mine!

  • This is so excellent. After starting to listen to this yesterday, I’ve already used some of this perspective in a college-level class I taught last evening. I’m a Christian … in recent weeks I’ve become more aware of Jesus’ strong expectation and demand for increase and fruitfulness. It’s shifting my thinking. Excellent podcasting here. I’ll be subscribing. Grateful!

    • @truenorthquest Wow, many thanks! I too am acutely aware of what is required Of us when we follow the Lord. I am so glad that it is his strength that allows us to accomplish his designs. Thank you so much for dropping by!

Here’s a thought Ray. I know I voiced messaged it to you before, but I’ve revised it. How about putting the top 10 or 15 podcasts on a CD and put it on Ebay and sell it. Those who buy will then go to your site if they like what they hear, and many will go straight to your site and download them for free. Either way it’s another way to get new customers. (Now that’s a one-post marketing plan!).

Hi Ray. I have been listening to some of your early episodes and I really enjoyed this one with Paul. The conviction and simplicity of his message on productivity is inspiring. Thank you for interviewing him.

Also not sure if you are aware, the RSS feed for your podcast in iTunes stops at episode #36. A listener has to go to your website to find the first 35 episodes. Can you change the number of item in the RSS feed so all the shows are listed in iTunes?
